Under a snow squall watch now. We had no snow left on the ground Wednesday and have had snow squalls non stop since. Got about a foot of snow so far.

Heading down to Toronto today for a bday party at the inlaws

I watched this a few weeks back http://greatlakesecho.org/2011/12/15/catch-drain-the-great-lakes-on-the-discovery-channel/

Careful in Toronto. I had no clue it was on a active fault with tons of mini quakes.

    :aliens: :D

I love how so many cities are constructed on bad land

We had a nice little quake a month or two back. I thought a train had derailed on the tracks a mile away the noise was so loud. I didn't even know it was a quake until I saw everyone blowing up fakebook. NY and Philly would be screwed if a big one hit.

Lol I lived in a northern city when I was going to school. It was a mining town and every time we got a quake we figured the city was going to cave in. Apparently it's so honeycombed that the city loses elevation each year but I don't know how true that is.

We have a mining town about 2hrs away that has been on fire underground since 1962. It actually caves in from time to time. They shut the entire town down and closed the highway. I'm sure you heard us talking about it over the years

Centralia is a borough and ghost town in Columbia County, Pennsylvania, United States. Its population has dwindled from over 1,000 residents in 1981 to 12 in 2005,[1] 9 in 2007, and 10 in 2010, as a result of a mine fire burning beneath the borough since 1962. Centralia is one of the least-populated municipalities in Pennsylvania.
Centralia was part of the Bloomsburg-Berwick micropolitan area. The borough is completely surrounded by Conyngham Township.
All properties in the borough were claimed under eminent domain by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 1992 (and all buildings therein were condemned), and Centralia's ZIP code was revoked by the Postal Service in 2002.[1] A few residents continue to reside there in spite of the failure of a lawsuit to reverse the eminent domain claim.
