    ARB BUMPER

The Deluxe Winch Bars are carefully designed to accommodate an electric winch and the inherent stresses that exist when winching. This Winch Bar completely replaces the original front bumper with a protective steel bumper designed specifically for each application.
    • 250 Heavy Grade Wall Tubing
    • Cold Rolled Sheet Steel<LI class=partAttrName>Color
    • Paintable
    All Pro Front Bumper
    [IMG]
All-Pro Off Road has designed a Tacoma Front Winch Bumper to protect the front end and help your Tacoma to work even better in the backcountry! This bumper is built from heavy-duty, .120 wall, 1.75" tubing. Approach angles are greatly improved because it tucks up out of the way, providing much more clearance that the stock bumper and trim. This bumper also allows for the mounting of a remote solenoid winch of up to 9500-lb capacity. In addition, this bumper now features an integrated steel skidplate that not only looks great, but adds even more protection up front. The stock skid plate can also be retained. Ships unpainted.

    ROAD ARMOR

This heavy-duty front winch bumper from Road Armor offers the best off-road approach angle over any competitor. Each bumper offers full underside skid plating, shackle mounts, recessed lighting mounts for 4" driving or fog lamps, and a lifetime guarantee against breakage.

The Tacoma winch bumper will accomodate any integrated Warn winch up to 12,000 lbs.

    Item# RA90104X $1,449.00

    ;)

I can vouch for Shrockworks' build quality. I just received a set of their sliders and they are remarkably well made. You can see them unfinished in the above picture.

ARB has a great name that stands on its own -- I just wanted to make sure Shrockworks was properly represented. You won't go wrong with either of them so it's really just personal preference.

Note that either will add a lot of weight to the front of your truck so you may want to factor in some new springs when your calculating total cost.

I remember seeing your truck on TTORA. Hows the build going on that? Last time I saw it you had just got done installing the cage.

To the OP: I personally like the ARB. Shockworks makes a great product as well.

I'm planning on the Shrockworks one whenever my money tree bears fruit.

Unfortunately, shortly after(if not before) the bumper I'll need to get some 886 coils. Would like to do 886 coils, OME shocks all around, and Dakars in the rear.

But then I want sliders too, so I better find a damn good paying job. :D

It's getting there. Heck of a process but I'll hopefully have it out of the shop in the next month. At this point it's just the fuel cell, bed cage, and detail work left (switches, harnesses, window nets, paint, etc).

I've got a Garage thread over on that site if you're interested. I'm always psyched when Saturday rolls around and I get to stop in and check up on the progress.

If anybody in or near NJ is looking for a fabrication shop, I can't say enough positive things about Carroll's Rod & Racecraft in Spotswood!

This bumper is the shit, although the website is not very useful at all and not sure if you can actually order it.

    As for the front, Shockworks.

I always thought on the ARB (the name and all what it carries) but now Shockworks shows a better fit bumper that really goes with Tacoma's front and it keep (apparently) the use of your OEM fogs and you can then add more lights if need it

OEM fogs won't fit because they have plastic tabs holding them to the stock bumper. If you could fab up something you might be able to get them to wrok. But it'll take some time.

I think this thread should have been made a poll. I am really interested to see what everyone thinks as well, I am been trying to make the same decision.

Is there any other bumpers as these from ARB and Shockworks? Does anyone has a picture of it or them? once there are more options we can make the requested POLL.

AllPro recently came out with a new bumper for the 05+ Tacomas:

700$ unpainted for the allpro, seems like a good deal.

BentUp.com made this sweet thing for a guy on ttora. Not sure if it'll be brought into full production but there's a chance!

I'm going with the ALLPRO just after I get tires. The ARB is a great bumper but they will not custom it for fog/driving lights. I have turn signals on my lights and don't need another set on my bumber! Shrokworks is great as well but for the price you can't beat the ALLPRO they look the same.
