    I agree..and disagree..

i honestly believe the future of our motoring is in electricity. But in Hydrogen fuel cells. Wish someone would really invest in that.

I've got a 45acp 1911, but with a 5" barrel it's not exactly an ideal size gun to carry. haha I won't be carrying much anytime soon anyway, since I spend most of my time on campus. Nothing to fear really around here so no reason in risking a felony just to carry a gun on campus.

How are automatic tranny's a blow? Sure they aren't as fun to drive but modern auto tranny's are now more efficient than manuals and just as tough as long as they are properly cooled.

I agree with the alternative fuel thing. Cool to work towards applying it because fossil fuels are just going to get more and more expensive as they start to deplete, but most of our electricity to run these electric cars is made with fossil fuels. There just aren't enough solar, nuclear, hydro, and wind power plants our there yet to break our reliance on fossil fuels.

idk about hydrogen being the future of cars

as of now, hydrogen has to be taken from...fossil fuels/natural gas or through electrolysis with water. There is already a fresh water shortage throughout the world, and desalination of ocean water is to inefficient to be used wide-spread

Not only that, but getting back to electrolysis, that in itself uses lots of electricity...increasing Co2 emission

on top of all that, storing hydrogen to be used is a whole different ballgame, because it has to be transported at very low temperature and at high pressure; since it's the world's lightest gas...

no no no. Hydrogen fuel cells buddy. Electric generators. Would be the saving grace of the world. No more oil need for cars. No more coal for electricity. Prices in tires and all sorts of things would drop.

Then there would be more oil for those people that would still have gas cars. Which would all turn into kind of weekend warriors. Then electrics for DDs.

electrics really won't be that bad. Instant torque man! In fact they will save the car. We have built our entire lifestyle around the car. The car isn't going to disappear. But oil will. Electric cars are the only way we will ever still have cars.

agree on all the problems with hydrogen and that yes the infrastructure isn't there...yet.

It can be. We just don't give it the chance. And it could all change. Im saying i wish more time and money was spent in figuring out ways to make it cheaper to make and store transport ect.

I think a focus on green-er energy production, matched with better hybrid tech is the way to go for the next three for four decades, until they find a way to harvest/transport hydrogen cheaply

that, and gaining access to some of the world's largest supply of oil could lower prices/costs and give a boost to green energy research....
    since, you know...

    the US has it...

advanced battery tech could mean smaller packs, kinda like keeping a rotopax gas can on the gate

    lol yea..true..

i agree..but with hydrogen..would be just like gas. You'd have a tank. And a good range. but the tech is a bit behind.

anyway, my video professor just bought a quad copter to start playing with video and a gopro. Been looking at them. Look real fun to fly. But check this shit out!
