hey guuys, while painting my rims tonight i noticed my passenger side head light lens is cracked, about 4" long... had the truck for a week now :( lol. anyway ive been looking at the blacked out headlight idea. i was gonna black mine out until this happened. ive been looking on ebay at blacked out headlamps, heres the link. ive found oem for 42$ each, but 40$ shipping. these are 82$ for the pair, but im wondering about quality... lemme know what u think!

They'd probably be fine. Although I'd make sure I'd put some sealant on them since some of those aftermarket lights often aren't sealed the greatest and will get moisture in.

Also agree, either heat up oven and open up and reseal or use some clear silicone on the outside. Another option if you haven't done this is check craigslist or a local scrape yard.

Its funny u got a crack cause my tacoma headlamp has a crack on the passenger side as well..mine just appeared from one day to next. And my Tacoma spends like 80% of the time under a carport. Headlamp defect, maybe?

The best aftermarket brand is Depo in my opinion. The quality of the light output/beam is almost as good as OEM and they haven't leaked so far. I'd stay away from Eagle Eyes, I had a pair of their headlights on my 4Runner and the light output from those were horrible.

Same here never heard a rock hit mine either. I'm planing on buying a pair of depo brand aftermarket headlights. Plan on doing a projector retro fit on the depo headlamps. I already have a retro fit kit on the way from the retrofit source. Im planing on having the entire inside of the headlamp painted black or color match to my black sand pearl.

I second this opinion. I used Depo lights for my my projector retrofit and have had zero issues at all with them.
