So with 4k miles on my 09 my clutch went, and ive been experiencing the sagging and harsh ride when i have my dirtbikes and stuff in th ebed of the truck

brought the truck to the dealer and they straight up told me they could do nothing about the suspension because it is a 09 and they tried to clean up the clutch plates, even tho it had smoked itself, put it back togehter and gave it back to me the way it was.

just called the national customer service number about these issues that i have been having with the truck. the guy on the other end of the phone told me that they couldnt authorize the tsb because it was a 09 and that they have never authorized this before, which i told him was straight bull shit. i expressed my concern on why a $28k truck coudlnt haul 2 dirtbikes or a load of wood with out throwing me around, but hte 1990 wiht 190k miles i had before ths was bullet proof. i asked him why toyota put my clutch back together and gave it back to me when they knew it needed to be replaced and was still broken. he told me if the part wasnt available for 4 weeks then it wasnt available and id just have to wait.

he gave me a case number, but i m really not sure what good that does when neither the dealer or toyota seems to care.

i didnt even bring up the fact i have a rattle from my dash that they cant fix, or the fact that the paint on my truck with 4k miles on it looks worse then the paint on the 1990 i had with 190k miles because its so chipped and scratched already and i dont even take it off road.

im not sure what to do at this point, as sad as it is to say im disappointed in toyota and wish i had bought a chevy right about now.

say its a lemon and return it?
I dunno it sounds like you won't be happy with the truck even when it does get fixed. This has spoiled your taste for toyota and I wouldn't blame you for wanting something else.
I had the suspension issues but I bought used and had to eat the costs.
$3k later and I'm real happy with my truck now and can't wait to do more mods (for looks this time)
anyways, just be patient with your dealer,u get more flies with honey right? If it's warranty stuff and your dealer won't work with you, go to another.
the paint chipping sucks bad, and mine is lookin bad too I think I may try that clear bra stuff.
and your rattle... is that sound like above and behind the glovebox? theres a few threads about rattles in the dash.. do a search.
    good luck

    Good luck with the dealer.

BTW, which dealer are you taking it to? I see you are from Mass. I went to Ira Toyota in Milford, MA for my '08 and they didn't give me a problem.

#1 get underneath your truck and look at the frame above the bumpstop. Does it appear to have black marking all over it like the frame has been bouncing off the bumpstops?? If yes make your sevice rep look at it and acknowledge it.
If he denies seeing much action in there ask him to look again. Then get in your truck real quick and run his ass over!!!!
#2 Then floor it (slipping shitty clutch and all) and blow right through the showroom window and cream your truck into the general manager's office!!! If you did not hit him back up and try again. Then jump outta your truck and hop up and down and scream at his ass, shaking him by the collars until he approves the work to be done under warranty.
    That oughtta do it:)

Then again if you already got off on the wrong foot about these issues then there's not much you can do get them to politely take care of your issues.
Try another dealer and be polite. assertive, but polite.

    F@CK!!!
I just don't see how you cannot get the TSB done if your truck falls into the VINs that are applicable. (does your truck fall into the covered category in the most current TSB?) Does your truck have three leaf springs? If so what is the differecne between the three leaf springs on your 2009 truck and a truck manufatured Dec. 31 2008?
If your truck is riding on the bumpstops, its OBVIOUS. just look at the frame facing the bumpstops. No one can dispute that a frame bouncing off the bumpstop will produce a harsh ride.
Have a copy of the TSB when you go. It says in black white (and orange) that customers whose trucks are still under warranty, who complain of a harsh ride when the truck is loaded are entitled to have the inferior leaf spring pack removed and replaced with a four leaf spring pack.
If you go to the dealer and act like a mature, reasonable adult, they cannot refute your legitimate claim and deny what you are entitled to as a customer that plunked down thousands of dollars for a quality vehicle.
boil it down to basics if you have to.
Ask the service manager to look at the frame facing the bumpstops.
Ask him if he thinks all that bumpstop material mashed onto the frame is from the the frame coming into contact with the bumpstops.
Ask him if he thinks a truck bouncing off the bumpstops would produce a harsh ride.
Produce the TSB and ask him if the TSB is intended to remedy a harsh ride.
The answers to these questions are irrefutable.
"No we will not do as we are instructed to do by our parent company to remedy this problem" is NOT an acceptable answer. It is unreasonble to expect the dealer will deny your claim."
If you made an ass of yourself treating the dealership employees as your enemy instead of your partner, go somewhere else, grow up and try again.
People that got their 2009s corrected under warranty even though the TSB did not cover 2009s yet, most likely handled things maturely, or had a good rapport with their dealership. It just does not pay off to be a shit toward your dealership.

i was very mature at the dealer, i was very polite and i never once raised my voice or was a ass to the service manager. i am going to try a different dealership and hope for the best.

toyota of dartmouth sucks... i have not had good luck with them i should have known better then to try and go there after the experience i had when i went in there to buy a truck in the first place, i guess there was a reason i ended up at a different dealer.

Toyota all weather floor mats. Mag light that clunks around in the jack compartment. Dog hair. Dog drool on the windows.
Sometimes raising your voice in a crowded dealer works to. risky but they do not want a perspective Tacoma buyer, who might be lurking hearing your complaints.
Keep implying that you bought the truck to use as a truck to haul stuff with.
