dday follow the installation instructions for the ditra they have instructions on how to add additional underlayment and also the type of thinset to use under and on top of the ditra and they are different.

Plus with 3/4" subflooring you are already about the min requirements for using ditra and adding 1/4 probably will not provide much benefit. But if you are going to go that way last year when I did my kitchen I added 3/8" plywood to my 5/8" subfloor and staggared the seams and ran the plywood grain perpendicular to the joists. I glued and screwed following the recomendation of screws every 4" around the edge of the sheet and evert 6" in the field. Read the instructions they are very clearn.

Made feet for my new 60 gal compressor out of hockey pucks and 1/2" hardware. Only tools needed are a 1 1/2" wood boring bit and a 1/2" normal bit and a hand drill. Takes about 15 min

Pictures of the hockey puck feet.

That is one of the reasons. I am pulling it off the pallet and don't want the metal feet on my epoxy floor also. I figure the rubber will help with vibs and keep it from walking around if it tries to move. It has very little vibration so it should be fine.

Alex and Myself ( my 7 year old) walked around the house and insulated the outlet covers. I was amazed at how much cold air actually comes in the home from the outlets, especially the exterior walls. Need to get another box but I am thinking it was a well spent 20 bucks.

Would anyone have an idea on how to make a worth bench that can roll? But not lose stability?

But I'd rather have larger casters (for easier rolling over cracks, cords, bumps, etc.) that. lock, then add some other leveling device, like large leveling screws:

    http://www.levelingmounts.com/

Here is another type that seems it could work if you are keeping it on a very clean, smooth floor.

    http://www.woodcraft.com/product/20...ine-leveling-caster-plate-mounted-4-pack.aspx

This kinda look like a pain in the ass. Depends how oftern you are moving it too, I suppose.

Thanks for that info. It would be to roll around only in the garage, but my intentions were for large pieces being able to move the bench would be a plus, also to get behind it and clean the mess from sawdust etc.

I just put harbor freight locking casters on the bottom of my workbench and I have used it like that for over a year and it has been stable enough for everything I needed.
