Finally... What a long 24 hours. I finally closed the deal on my 13 taco DCSB TRD sport with tow package and mats for $28.7k OTD. I didn't qualify for any rebates so it was a lot of haggling. I think the price of the truck was about $26.7k before TTL so I got about $1400 off invoice (which I'm pretty happy about). The only thing that slightly bothered me was that the truck had 150 miles on it when I bought it but I was able to confirm that it was due to two dealer trades and not multiple test drives. Regardless, I put about 70 miles on it last night and drives great. They did try to screw me big time on my trade so I ended up just purchasing the truck and will sell my car privately. Anyway, here are some pics

Here's my 07 lexus GS450h with 19k miles about 24 hours ago (with drop, exhaust, lip kit, etc)

Here it is stock next to my truck at the dealership

They tried to offer me $22.5 for my lexus. I was shocked... I pulled up on my iPhone nada showing $29.6 and he said... "Uh... Well... That's what my computer says". What a joke

Here it is after make ready

Thanks everyone for their help and insight

I also forgot to mention I bought the extended warranty 7yr/ 100k miles platinum with zero deductible for $1150. Not bad imo

2013 dcsb, sr5, 4wd, alloy wheels, tow package, all weather mats, tinted windows - $28k + TTL, 0% for 36 months. Seems like a fair deal. What do you think?

Got a quote for a Superwhite 4x4 DCLB, TRD Sports, Tow Pkg, Carpet/Door Sill, and Entune/Navi for $33,247.72 -- before TTL.

But the sales guy came back and said the GM will only let the truck go for an extra $1k.

    Is $33,247.72 a good deal?

Edit: Is edmunds.com or trucar.com reliable websites for negotiating prices?

    Thanks.

What is invoice? I would try to start at invoice and go up from there.

    Thanks boss :)

I would go off of this thread. In fact, when I was negotiating the extended warranty, I was talking to the finance guy and told him about this thread literally and said I've heard of cheaper deals. He said show me and I did and although he couldn't match the price listed on this thread, he did drop the price $700 (from $1850 to $1150).

    Thanks for the tip Edwin.

I requested a few online quotes this morning from different dealers and so far I've received one price of $32,198.

3 of the dealers have told me their 4x4 DCLB Tacomas are always equipped with the minimum of TRD Sports, Entune/Navi, Tow Pkg, and Carpet Mats -- due to Toyota's configuration for each market region (in my case Northern CA).

I'll continue to comb thru this thread to see what others have paid. Looks like many here favor the short bed version.

Update: 1 of the dealers said they can change the config on a on-order Tacoma and subtract the Entune/Navi, but delivery time will be approx mid-March as the production is set to start end of this month. Now waiting for a price for this setup.

Ok so I've narrowed down my search for a good price.

    $32,198
DCLB Super White, TRD Sport, Entune/Navi, Tow Pkg, and Carpet

    $30,880
Same as above minus Entune/Navi and Carpet (6 weeks to deliver)

I'm not too sure if Entune is worth it. Had thought about installing a Navi, but thinking about going thru the trouble of installing makes the Entune an OK deal.

Did I get a good deal? 2013 DCSB LIMITED PKG, 4x4, tow pkg, carpet mats, chrome tube steps, extra security pkg, tinted front windows, ReadyLift lift/level kit, XD Series rims, 285/65-18 Nitto tires. 4,000 miles, pre-owned. $33,500. Got $10,000 (plus 6.25% tax savings) trade value on my 2007 4cyl Access Cab with 126,500 miles.

Shopped new, and Limited 4x4 was like $37K sticker and they only wanted to give 7500 on trade. A rare, clean pre-owned, no wreck or paint work (bought new late Sept. 2012, traded in late Dec 2012) ended up being an easy decision.

Not really a lift kind of guy, but this is very mellow, smooth, and just seems to look right. Will be adding the TRD cat back exhaust soon.

    Thoughts?

Thanks for your input. I too thought about getting the entune but the base radio had just enough for me to be content with it. However I did notice that entune has a lot more features than mine. I believe it has mpg tracking, etc which would be nice to have. However at a price tag of $3k or whatever, that didn't seem worth it to me

We have matching trucks! Sounds like you got a good deal and I would worry at all about the 150 miles that's just a detail.

MSRP $31,090, I paid $27,090 that includes the $1000 recent college grad incentive. It took weeks of negotiating with multiple dealers, but I feel like I got a good deal.
