yeah but a pump has one up on the auto. if a bad guy is in your dark house at night, and he hears you pump your shotgun, he wont even have to see you and he'll drop whatever weapon he's holding. the pschological factor is a big one with a pump. but that auto is still cool :)

I have to agree with ND--not to mention that I find the pump action rather satisfying and fun. But I wouldn't mind that full auto in addition to a pump for a different kind of fun--full auto is an awesome feeling!

Forget the pump action, slap a laser sight on that bad boy. Watch the reaction when they turn out to see wtf's up, and see the big ass drum on the barrel pointed at their head. :D

The original manufacturer of the those automatic shotguns wanted to sell them to the US military but were declined. To back door their way in they offered to sell some to the Guard's Marksmanship Training Unit HQ in Arkansas for a dollar a piece for "testing". The guys who ran the program thought it'd be "a hoot" to have them but saner heads prevailed and they were never purchased. (As far as anyone I know would admit.) So while I never had a chance to play with one of those things I did see the demonstration video the MTU was sent. It put this one to shame. :D

You are nothing but a big chicken. Keep practising that act so you can do it in real live when the Northern Alliance invades your spider and snake infested bird nest.

As do I. Plus pump shotguns are a hell of alot more reliable than that thing. I will take my mossy anytime over that thing.

just out of curiosity have you ever used an AA-12? And can verify it's lack of reliability? I mean, they claim the 7 different kinds of stainless steel and large parts make it maintenance free. I've even seen videos of 2 of them mounted on an APC as the turret guns with joy stick controls and camera sights.

Seems like it would have to be reliable to be out in the weather on the top of a vehicle 24-7 in a place you don't want to be swapping parts around if it jammed.

Yeah, the pump is good for around the house, but could you imagine duck hunting with that thing.......in a couple seconds you'll have downed an entire flock

Naw, ive never used one -- no tax stamps in this screwed up state:(. I dont have any information specifically about the AA-12, but semi auto's in general, are going to be less reliable than a manual shotgun. If semi auto's jam, a select fire shotgun will jam a good amount more. Thats just a fact of life. Thats still an awesome weapon though.
