You don't but it seems like he is a PD officer and he is covering his ass. Also he owns the guns he can ask to see what ever he wants before sale.

Anyone have a single wheel spacer they want to get rid of? I need one to put on the back of my wife's FJ so we can open the back window. I don't care if it is old, ugly or whatever. Just needs to be 6x5.5. I would buy a pair if I have to (and the price is right).

Uhh... I do not have a spacer but I curious about this story that one spacer will help you open the back winow. It isn't making sense in my head.

If the spare is mounted on the rear hatch maybe getting it out from the window will allow just the window part to swing out and up? I don't know though, not super familiar with fjs

Yeah I would assume its due to a bigger tire not allowing it to swing up.

Ah that makes sense. Couldn't you just add some nuts or washers to the factory mount and that would space the tire out? I guess I would to see how the tire mount is factory.

Heard about Jace and Bob doing spindle gussets and I decided to look at Total Chaos to see what they cost, and I was surprised to see they are only $42! Anybody know how hard it is to weld these on? Will I need anything else to make them work? THe ones that they have that work with sway bars state that you need wheel spacers, but it doesn't say that for the ones w/o sway bars. IDK.

Private party doesn't do background checks, but as a police officer and responsible member of society, he requested that the buyer produce proof of firearms training and/or eligibility to own/purchase a firearm.

Then I must be an irresponsible member of society because I ask via email (so I have it on file should anything ever come up) if the buyer is a Colorado resident who isn't prohibited from buying or owning firearms. If they answer properly I'm good to go since nothing is required by law beyond that. The seller can ask for a bill of sale or whatever he wants but they might also limit their potential buyers by requiring more than the law requires. Personally, I can't stand the hoops the gov thinks make us all safe so I will only jump through those required to complete the transaction. That's just my ten cents (adjusted for inflation) if anyone cares. Probably not.

I have checked with High Country and they said they can weld them on the truck with of course some teardown of the wheel hub area. They were guessing about $200 to do.
