My truck has a rattle that is driving me crazy!!!! It sounds like its coming from the passenger side it's not the dash. The noise is from under the glove box or around that area. Anyone that had this rattle and found a solution please let me know. The volume up option it's not working!!!

search "dash airbag rattle" in the 1st gen section.

There's a couple of threads on it.

More than likely it's your airbag module (or whatever it's called) rattling up behind there.

That's probably what it is. I don't know why, but there are so many 1st gen dash rattles out there. I guess if a dash rattle is the biggest of my concerns, I have it pretty good.

    Good Luck!

I have the same noises coming from the passenger door. Drives me nuts. Great truck, and for the $$$ should not have this.

Should of had it checked when I had the new speakers put in with the amp.

But,,, would of, could of, should of. You know what they say, If you Aunt had balls she'd be you Uncle.

Same here! Have two rattles. One is over/behind glove box and the other is center dash right under the defrost vent dead center next to windshield. As long as the radio/cd player is on I cannot really hear it, but sometimes on my 40 mile commute to work I enjoy the silence... at least Id like to LOL

Mine sounds like its coming below the glove box. I checked everything down there and all screws are thigh nothing is loose. Would have to check that airbag module

I was going to fix my dash rattle, but after taking everybody to lunch last friday, I may not. Frustrated the heck out of passengers, they may never want me to drive to lunch again! :D

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but my truck has the same rattle. Only happens when I am accelerating. Is this the same for you? I read the airbag post and plan to try and take off the glove to tighten the bolts. But I was wondering if you were able to fix the problem?

My passenger seat rattles on its tracks. Depending on the angle on the back rest it gets better.. I turn the music up or roll the windows down.
