Are towing mirrors convex? One of these look stylish enough.

I put the small round mirrors on the outside top. The mirrors are adjusted out slightly. I can see everything. I can see the ground for cornering and towing and have no blind spots.

I have them - upper outside for me - that is normally the wasted space in a mirror -- just sky. Really do like having them....

I placed one of the round stick-on mirrors on my passenger side mirror. I did this so I could see the lines on the ground or curbs while backing up into parking spaces. It has worked out great!

I drove Route 66 this summer and on the westbound trip back home, the reflective surface of the mirror died. It seems the sun and heat in NM and AZ burnt the thing. It was surprising how fast the mirror died. One day it was fine and the next I could hardly see anything in the mirror.

I want to replace it with a real glass mirror. So far I found this set on Amazon but I haven't had any luck finding another set with "glass mirror" in the description. Anyone know of another brand or source for a real glass mirror that should last longer than the cheap-o plastic ones?

Got some large round ones for $2.99 at Pep Boys, and they've already saved me numerous times from driving over cars moving in the large blindspots of my truck.

I don't get why people say "you can't trust mirrors"... How the hell do you think an 18 wheeler gets around? Do you really think they are turning their head?? They have no use for the cab mirror because there is no back window. Also, if you neglect to use these type of mirrors on very tall trucks like the ones I use at work (F-250 and F-550) you will not even see cars beside you by turning your head because you are too tall. I had to teach myself not to ever use the rear view mirror since not all trucks have a back window. I got used to only using side view mirrors on my work trucks, so I picked up a couple of the curved mirrors for my Tacoma. It is much easier to drive like this once you get the hang of it and learn that a mirror will not lie.

Don't use them.Sit in your truck and angle the mirrors out till you barely see the edge of your truck. You will see anything in your blind spot.

no i don’t! i have drove trucks with them and hated them. I don’t really have much of a blind spot.

2nd gen mirrors are a little bigger. but i don’t them to see around a 7’X12’ open trailer loaded with a rhino and ATV, I can see around it just fine.

    They are branded "hercules" mirrors

    http://youtu.be/fI4HZRLMztY

I haven't found anyone stateside that sells them
    at a reasonable cost...
But I keep looking as I wouldn't mind a pair.

If you google their namesake you will find them.
they come in 3 different sizes, so be aware before you purchase.

I found them sold on ebay...
but most sellers are from europe, taiwan, israel, china, etc.

post up if you find a stateside seller that has sane prices ;)
