I have Allstate insurance on all three vehicles.
I have had the same office and all for about ten years
with 0 claims. I have moved from a high crime area to the sticks.

They increased our auto premiums. I ask why?
I am paying more for the Tacoma to be insured than a
brand new 2013 Subaru, and a 06 Charger( Hemi)

I was told that the Truck is not a safe vehicle and the amount
of damage that the truck creates is more than average. I laughed
at this. what are your all thoughts on this? Should I cancel all policies and just find a differnt Policy holder? grrr I feel like I am being raped with no Vaseline..

Lol....yea insurance companys like to bend you over thats for sure. It never hurts to shop around every few years, especially if they raise your rates for no apparent reason. I do know that a 4x4 will be more than a prerunner, because they think that you are gonna be wheeling it and are at risk for more damage. At least that was the case when I went from a prerunner to a 4x4. Good luck

Well, I have my 2010 Tacoma DC SB Sport, my wife's 2013 Scion FR-S, and personal items insured with State Farm. Not sure what they charge you for your Taco but everything I have insured is only a tad over 100 per month. I've been with State Farm since I was 16 though. I've never been told the Tacoma is not safe and that the amount of damage is more than average by State Farm. Hope this helps

Find an independent agent and get requoted. Take your current policy in and give it to them and they will match the coverages and quote several insurance companies and get you the best rate. Allstate, Nationwide and state farm agents are captive agents and can only give you rates for that company. IE a state farm agent can only give you a quote from state farm but no one else. There are lots of insurance agents out there its worth going to an independent agent just to find out.

Shop around. If I remember correctly the 2011 had a five star safety rating, what ever that means. My 1992 Toyota pick up and 2003 Chevy Tracker were more expensive than my 2011 AC Tacoma. Under 80.00 a month. I use an insurance broker.

From an insurance standpoint, they are correct. A truck or SUV, because of it's size and mass, has the potential to do more damage in an accident than a small car. They shouldn't have said it's unsafe, I don't believe that is the issue as I understand it, it's just more unsafe for the people who drive small cars :D

State farm holds the Policy on my home. It is more to insure them through State farm here in Md. than Allrears.

From my experience, Allstate has always been one of the more expensive places to get quoted.

Looks like Allstate just told you to find a new insurance company since they apparently don't want your business. I had them for almost 10 years as well and switched to Geico and never looked back. Way too expensive for the same coverage.

We insured 8 vehicles and a motorhome under Allstate for over 10 years.

The only claim we ever filed (collision with uninsured motorist) was the most frustrating claims process ever. 100% dissatisfied with the service and payout.

Immediately switched to State Farm and we save a few hundred each year.

*BTW State Farm matched the rate I was paying on my 2wd 1995 Ranger, for my 2004 4x4 Tacoma :)

Most savings would come from thinning the parking lot though...

My rates were jacked up 134.01 on the Charger . For a car that sits in the garage.

203.12 increase on the Tacoma. In three months. I called farmers and they are smoking some good shit..lol I am going to start calling around. This is just buillshit. I have a perfect driving record, my wife has had one ticket in 14 years of driving. They are wanting me to pay more for the taco than a brand new car. I was told reason they don't like the trucks' safety due to the barely passing of the roof structure, everythigng else is top notch. So I told her I would put a 6 point cage in it to suit them. She was not amused..Pricks..

Was told most of time they under-insure the vehicles. I was once an enlisted man.:)
