Urgent help required.... spark plug question

good job on the plug change! leave them. i did go OEM. i want to change mine regularly, so they dont mysteriously freeze onto the heads over an extended period of time.

i helped a buddy change ancient sparkplugs..way overdue on a 2002 ford 4x4. felt like we needed to start the job with a group prayer. (or sacrifice a chicken)..they were all almost frozen other there..we were all high blood pressure and white knuckles..

no thanks.

Next time I am hoping it goes a little easier. Now I feel like I am ready for an engine swap.....................................................kidding.

 

I am hoping to see some MPG increase. Those old plugs looked kinda burnt at 60,000miles.

How has your fuel mileage reacted with the plugs?

 

No change whatsoever to MPG. I did notice a slightly rougher idle - nothing big, but juuuust not quite as smooth as before. It's not enough for my wife to notice, but me being an anal-retentive wanna-be shadetree mechanic, it's noticeable. I just hear/read a lot of people's negative comments on any plug other than OEM, and I think that gets my mind going.

 

It will smooth out Most of it is in your mind anyways
