Why do Americans still use slotted screws ?

If you think slotted screws are the worst thing we've come up with then we're doing alright!

 

OZ I think you need to make your own. I mean if a guy can put a square head on a screw and name it after him self, you certainly can come up with some thing better.

May be the T, screw or an A, screw, The Triangle screw, or a Maple Leaf screw.
It would be awesome.

I for one will stand up for the slotted screw. Any you don't always need a screw driver for them. You can use a Quarter, a Dime, A Nickel or... Well the penny... in a pinch.. Do you miss the penny all ready?

 

I'd say vegans are worse than slotted screws.

Hate em, especially on firearms. Even with hollow ground bits they're a bitch.

Only time we use them is for finish work when the client/contractor specifies.
