The best part of my rugged fails was they were only on my truck for ~50 miles

And I also know there are a "metric shit ton" who have expressed no gripes whatsoever about these tires. Of course, these people seldom rant loudly in forums.

    Your choice.

There is a guy at work who owns and swears by these tires. He drives a Ford excursion and spoke highly of them. Pulled his camper up through AK pushing snow up to his bumpers and said it never skipped a beat. He got superb number of mileage outta them and he replaced the worn out 88K + rugged trails with the same tire.

Everyone is going to have their opinions on the subject but the majority rules that the these tires are not cut out for everyone. Just like I say about Dunlops not being that bad but everyone else seems to hate them.

I had a 2005 w/Dunlops and barely got 30k miles out of them. Have over 16k miles on my 2012 Rugged Trails and so far no problems for me

I had very good luck with the SilentArmors on my F-150. Great tire for towing and did well in the snow. Replaced the wheels and tires with some factory 20s w/cooper zeon LTZ. Not that impressed with those tires, with all the ranting and raving about them on the interwebz.

I put 30,000 on my rugged fails, they had at least 10 to 12,000 left when I took them off. I rotated them every 5 thousand miles with each oil change.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Yeah I love mine, they weren't cheap, but have proven their worth to me already. Managed to sell the Dunlops on CL for 300 so got some of the money back.

GOODS- Good dry traction and cornering grip. Quiet and stable at high speeds.

BADS- Don't know. Don't have first-hand experience with them in adverse conditions. Bought a set of snow tires before the first winter. Changed to real all-terrain tires (Hankook Dynapro ATm) for off road.

Overall- not a bad tire but there are better tires for the money. The Hankook ATMs are every bit as good on pavement.

Wow, I'll be the first to say I'm on my second set of rugged trails. Got a really good price too. Good traction wet and dry. Good mileage, I'm not a lead foot. Not bad in the snow. Icy conditions forget it.

The rugged trails on the Excursion are a different tread pattern. My dad had them on his V10 Excursion for over 100,000 miles and they worked great in all weather conditions even at the end of their life.
