I'm just trying to troubleshoot a problem I've had for awhile. Truck is an '05 DC TRD Sport.

The power doorlocks, FOB, and interior light all don't work. I've checked the fuses, tried a new door actuator = nothing. It sounds like the body ECU controls the door locks. The problem is I don't know where this thing is and what it looks like. I looked in the service manual and it's not really clear (at least to me). Does it sit under the dash above the junction box? What color and shape is this thing?

Any help or ideas would be appreciated!

    Thanks

Hey I am trouble shooting an equally baffling problem...

I believe the BCU is behind the glove box.

Where is the junction box you are talking about?

Check the dome fuse again those all run off the same fuse it will be behind the compartment at your left knee when in the drivers seat. Does it have power?

I think I was wrong I think that may be the ECU behind the glove box. If you find the BCU let me know where it is as will I.

Hi, The body ECU is located on the back on the junction block (fuse box) under the driver's dash. You need to pull the fuse box and then look on the backside where the wiring harnesses and relays are. It's contained in the smaller black "cover". I popped the cover and changed out the circuit board (body edu) with one from the wrecker and my door locks suddenly worked.

    Best of luck!

Thanks for the help, did this unit require an reprogramming from the dealer to work with your truck? I am not sure this is my problem but glad I know how to get to it now... off with some more plastic.
