For the money you can take a stock f150 and make it way more capable then a raptor. And one thing I don't understand is why the raptor frames aren't fully boxed?

 

My winch came in today. My winch mount is ready. Got both sliders primed and one with a coat of black. Drying now on some jack stands. The other will get painted tomorrow while the other one gets installed..

Very interesting. Post some pics when you get everything on. I've never bought a winch what's the cost on one? And what amount of strength do we need?

I've played with one and you know the free spool so you can drag it out? How do you access that? Pop the hood?

 

I went with this one with the synthetic line to save on weight.

My mount I got is rated at 9500 lbs that slides into my receive, so I went with the 8k but I can put a pulley on it and increase my pull rate. 8 to 10 k is fine for our trucks.

 

Synthetic is the way to go from what I understand.

I never realized they were that expensive. Or that heavy.
I can buy a older 6k pound one for $50 idk if its name brand or what but its not been used.

 

guys looks like in about two weeks im going to be going to memphis
for a few weeks. I have only been there once for a weekend last month. but
now since im going to be there for a few weeks/months need to find some stuff to do out there. help a brother out

 

Maybe we should start working on setting up a meet again? Ended up not raining all that much Saturday. but I was sick as a dog. Couldn't hardly move all Saturday but I'm gettin along fine now.

"fun sides of Memphis"... Lol, haven't we already been over this? This is a relative term for Memphis. There is definitely some good food! I did have a good time at the FedEx forum Ufc fight there. There are definitely some things to do, but having someone local like Gideon to help you out is big. You could definitely be in the wrong place if you didn't know where you were.

Haha yeah ur right about that. It's not the most comforting place if u are unfamiliar. But there are fun things to do here, its just more oriented around every day life and not tourism. The FedEx forum is a great place to be. Basketball is pretty big here and Grizzlies games are awesome to be a part of. Then once u leave there u walk right on to Beale Street and that's a real fun place to be, especially on a Sat night after a Grizz game.
