The bushing install doesn't look too bad I think I could do that. Now on the cv removal that looks too complicated to me.

I just changed out both boots. Axle nut is a 36mm. I got axle out of diff with large prybar. Got diff side cv off axle with a 3 prong puller. Was able to change both boots out like this. Never had to remove wheel side cv from axle.

It seems like it's one of those things you just have to dive in. We have all the info here in this thread. A write up with pics would help (maybe its here somewhere). For me just finding the time to take it down and also some people have had leaky seals after doing it. Whats the deal with the leaky seals? That scares me! I would not want to be fighting that!

My truck is a 2010 w/ 32,654 miles on it. I took it into the dealer today to have this"vibe/growl" looked at. I took the technician with me around the block so I could make sure he heard the noise. He heard it and his initial thought was wheel bearing. 3 hours later, he came out and said that the front diff definitely needs replaced. So now I get to go back to the dealer to have the diff replaced once it arrives. Of course they didn't have it in stock. I'll update once I have it done. Oh yes, I have a 2" leveling kit on it, stock wheels/tires.

Me and a buddy did ours the same day and on both we broke the back lip of the bearing cage getting the tool behind it. They both broke the same way, same place. Make sure and stuff something in the diff before putting the tool in. We used two sandwich baggies. A roller even came out of mine on the way out. Bad feeling when you pull out a broken bearing cage that's missing a roller. We used a magnet to fish out the shrapnel and the roller out before pulling the baggies.

Oh yeah, we used 75w/90 too.

    A few bolts are different.
Same thing happened to me. I broke the cage and used a magnet to get the piece out.

I have a tool available if someone is needing it. $40 + shipping. PM me if you want it.

I just don't feel like paying them more than I already am. I may just have them top of off then change it when I get home. Since I'm gonna pull my skid off before I take it and will have to get under there to put it back on
