you may want to look at Baja Racks. They use the factory holes to mount the rack. I actually have an extra set of mounts that I could sell you if you want to use them.

I started tonight. Fabrication takes a lot longer than I had anticipated. This is just the base.

Good work. Are you using the factory roof channels? How about tabs for a Hi-Lift and lights?

I want to use all 6 of the factory mounting locations. I'm also going to put the 36" led bar from treklights in the front. But they don't have it in stock until February, so I have to way to make mounts for that. As for the the Hi-lift jack, I Bought some 1/2" bolts that I'm going to weld onto the back, and have it sit there.

test fitting, I should have it mounted by next week. I'm thinking about bed liner-ing it, to cover up some of my bad looking welds and fill in the small holes.

No money, all went to truck...
is it worth some bondo to fill holes?

Bedlinering it is a good idea. Check local shop, might be pretty cheap to have it sprayed.

Hey op, keep in mind the roof tilt toward the front. The mount from those factory holes needs the angle compensated for to allow bracket to sit parallel with the bottom of the rack. Looks great, hats off to ya for tackling this yourself. Very cool to be innovative and do it different with the square tube, gives it a very beefy look. Nice work
