Whoever is camping overnight, make sure you bring firewood cause it's phuckin freezing at night. If you've never been out there at night bring extra sleeping bags and anything to keep you warm in your tent. Otherwise you'll be miserable.

For anyone wanting to meet in Fontana at 12:30pm (subject to change) on Thursday, please be ready to leave at that time. I should be there by that time and I'll be ready to leave.

Verizon is usually the most reliable but from Wed-Fri it's hit and miss with everyone out there. Sprint and AT&T work in some places. For the best reception go to the phone bush...seriously.

It's in between Backdoor and Chocolate Thunder.
34.414583, -116.507467. Look at the green arrow, not the red google marker. You can see the bush on Google maps.

Haha, the Phone bush. Brings on a funny visual, people trying to fight for a spot, with cellphones flying, lol.

You guys missed the King of the Motos, was an awesome race for the motorcycles last weekend. However there are going to be some kikass rigs out there this weekend! Take some vids! I wanna see some of the good stuff, haha! You know, the spots where it gets all bottlenecked and carnage everywhere cause people are trying to pass in an almost impossible spot!

Such an awesome event, have fun!

I wouldn't rely on food stands the day of the race. Most people are out watching the race and a lot of the vendors are closed. Like cbassd mentioned, you might be able to find a burger stand but I wouldn't rely on it. Keep in mind, when you're out watching the race there's nothing around unless you drive back to Hammertown. I always take my food to where we're watching the race from.

Read this thread for the local market. They sell everything.

    32946 California 18 Lucerne Valley, CA 92356

    http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/competitions-events/1131481-whats-lucerne-valley-weather.html

We have a full service meat dept., fresh produce, big grocery dept., variety and hardware with camping equipment, some racing gear & motorcycle stuff, lots of parts. We have a great selection of desert books.
The Deli Cafe is inside Lucerne Valley Market & Hardware and has Super Burgers, Broasted Chicken, Breakfast & Premium Sandwiches and a whole lot more. We have ice in both cubes and blocks and dry ice by the pound.
Our beer is colder than the coldest beer in town and our restrooms are always clean!
Here’s a link some visitors from Fawnskin published on the web if you want to know a little more about us.
    Locals Favorite: Lucerne Valley Market
We are just starting a website: lucernevalleymarket.com that has our ad and a little more information. I hope to get desert links and a lot more on it in the future.

The town of Lucerne Valley also has: three gas stations; a bunch of restaurants, my favorites are The China House, Coyote Loco, Rube's Country Kitchen and there are also Adelitas, Letty’s, Stalone’s Pizza, Cafe 247 & Little Joe’s; a great Western wear store-- Country Styles; First Mountain Bank; G & G Auto Repair and more.
Propane is sold at G&G Auto, Butcher's Block Hardware and more.
