anyone have the back plastics (behind the seats) from a 05+DC that they want to sell? I have a project idea, and I don't want to cut my stock ones up since they are all nice and purdy.

 

There was a set on cl for $50

ive got a friend coming into town this weekend from colorado hes done all the touristy things like the grand canyon i am trying to think of something else to show him. Any ideas?

So Im probably installing the leafs today. Any tips on removing the old ones and installing the new ones? Or how hard this is?

X2. Try doing SUA, in a weekend, by yourself

 

It's really easy. Just a bit of elbow grease on the bolts, especially since they've been on their awhile. A little PB blaster probably wouldn't hurt if they're stuck.

Basically... just...
- jack the truck, support jackstand on frame. (wheels chocked)
- Place the jack (perfably with a block of wood on it) under the axle. Jack it up to just below touching at full droop (so it won't fall and break your brake lines, damage stuff, ect)
- Unbolt u-joints, take off
- unbolt front and rear mounts.

Reverse order install on the new ones. Re-torque after 10min driving and 100mi.

Keep in mind that's the short version, you'll need to take your wheel off and all that to gain access but, I'm sure you can figure that out.

Also... serious about re-torquing... especially the u-joints. They WILL come loose.. unless you use lock tight... but I wouldn't use that on these...
