    Theres the radar detector and also the antenna box for my alarm all mounted up there. The wire just runs all the way to the power plug and that's it!

    I hope not...that would be illegal in Massachusetts...especially if you got pulled over and it recorded the cop talking to you...eeech! The consent law in Ma. is being used to ARREST people for recording traffic stops and police interactions for their own protection...

    I believe so, although you would have to get some other type of mount. The unit itself uses a screw mount like what most cameras do. However I'm not sure how the unit would hold up to elements as it wasn't designed to be used outside.

    I don't think it's illegal to run one of these in MA. However, if you got pulled over and didn't tell the cop you were recording, you could be in hot water. If he/she does not consent to being recorded, you could offer to switch it off. Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it because I want one of these.
