You know what tires they put on your 1st gen? Mine came with brand new Michelin LTX M+S2 and they are actually a pretty awesome tire for a primarily highway light truck tire. They do really well in snow, and pretty damn good off road as well.

Toyota tech thinks my trans is the culprit for my horrible mileage. Bullshittttt! Why is one disk WAY hotter than the other? It's my brakes. Now fix my shit Toyota. Stop trying to pull the wool over my eyes.

Wait... you brought your truck in, with 285 series Duratracs and they thought the transmission was the culprit for the crappy MPGs

I dunno man, warrantied or not, I wouldn't want those morons working on my truck, especially the brakes.

No, it didn't come up in my googling. I'll keep it in mind for the future though. Only thing I still need is a antenna mount, which should be here in a day or two.

Yea I know. I mean if you feel the disks after driving, the right one is twice as hot as the left! I didn't know a transmission could cause that. I guess they know more than common sense. :der: I'll fucking push the tech's face against the rotors so he can tell me which one burnt his face less. Are you fucking kidding me!?

They may not, but I've used them for oddball stuff in the past like a transformer for my scoreboard. I believe they do some radio stuff so just thinking it might connect.

Lmao this is why I could care less about having a warranty . Ill do my own work and know its done right the first time .

Alex sounds like pads hanging up on the rotor . Is that the one you replaced the caliper on ?
As for your mpgs welcome to rocking 285s . It's not your trans . It's your tires .

It seems the same to me. It could also be a stuck ebrake from Saturday.

I only replaced the front calipers 3 times. The rears are factory surprisingly!

I was getting 19mpg with the 285's before Saturday. Now I can't keep a constant speed. It's almost like I'm hauling a trailer.

It should be pretty easy for them to tell if there is a stuck caliper/ ebrake or not...

Is there an inspection port on the e-brake drum housing thing? Should be. Just pop the cover off the port and look to see if it is dis-engaging or not. Calipers should be even easier
