I remember just test driving one after insurance totalled my old 93 and I was exploring options. The 2nd gen was new on the lot just felt very cheap and plastic inside. I remember the door panel flexing under the slightest pressure. And you want how much for that? No thanks. Managed to find my 2001 with only 100k miles on it. Solid. Just broken in...

Bro you got a decked out 2nd gen and your only 17.
But you guys are making me have bad thoughts of 2nd gens, I thought they were great vehicles. I thought that I possibly wanted a 2nd gen in the future too, but now idk.

With that being said I love my truck, because its just a great vehicle and I am also attached to it. It's got the most sentimental value out of anything I own, seeing as how I grew up in it and have many fond memories involving her. I hope nothing ever happens to it:(

I'm looking at an 03 TRD dbl cab 4x4 with 160k miles on it. Is that high for 1st gen and what do I need to check for besides rust, LCA ball joints and steering rack? Any other big things?

Are these similar to the Wheelers type b? I know the type b are 4'' backspacing. The ones you posted are 3.75(which will stick out further). Summits standard shipping rates are amazing! Will these fit our 1st gens with out modification?

Anything can be done with modification but you're talking about a lot of bodywork lol. It's a totally different body style. There is nothing even remotely the same between the two. Now if you are referring to the 01-04 headlights then yes it can be done with very little mods.

Maybe consider HID'S or projectors? It would be alot more practical.

I'm going with 3.75 backspacing because from what I've seen from everybody else's trucks, it will keep the tire from rubbing the frame. They should fit our trucks without modification, guess I'll find out when I test fit them after I order them and they come in in a week or two... Still can't decide whether I want 10 inch wide rims or 8 inch wide rims...

    109 bucks for 2.

If your worried about price,,then you need to rethink retro fitting 102nd gen lights. You'd have to d major modifications and body work. Would be expensive.

    8!

Keeps the wheel more protected a bit and makes the tire a tad taller.
