Today driving on the highway I saw a Chevy 2500 HD lifted with approx. 2.5" wheel spacers on just the front tires.

    Seriously.

    Why?

how much lift? Some of the 6" drop bracket lifts widen the front track width by about that much..... it might not have been wheel spacers at all. Back when i had a Chevy 1/2 ton i wanted to throw a 6" lift on, but it seemed all of them did that and I hated how they looked that way.

For some reason certian 6"DB lifts on Chevys widen the front. Makes them look stupid

maybe he did the front last night and ran out of time to do the back.

I've driven around with a mess of wires hanging out of my dash for months before because I didn't have time to finish the install.

Sounds like me. I took a girl out on a first date with wires hanging out the dash and a missing muffler. At that time, work and school consumed my life.

A lot of the larger trucks and vans have narrower rear track widths from the factory. It's supposed to improve turning radius, but mostly it just looks goofy.

I traded in my car with wires hanging out the dash. They weren't interested in my computer speakers on the dash with the inverter and mp3 player.

    :( yes

I was commuting 3 hours (round trip) for school 3 times a week and working 40 hours.

I had the head unit installed but there was a horrible alternator whine, so I pulled the head unit out and made do with what I had.
