Toytec adjustment question

So, Im lifted as much as I'm gonna get it sounds like. I just wish that I could get the front and back level. Thanks for your help longhorn, I appreciate you taking the time!

Not to keep beating the hell out of a dead horse but, here is your truck jolayiv


My truck sits at least one and a half to two inches lower than yours in the front. The picture of your CO's is where I started last night. I adjusted the large collar down so I have only 1" of threads below the large collar. When I took my CO's off last night, they looked exactly like yours do now but my lift in the front wasn't nearly what you have. I've called Toytec and they are going to call me back shortly. I'll let you know what they say.

 

Yeah, you shouldn't have any trouble getting it at least level... Like I said, I had mine nose high and that was before they lengthened the thread body even more...

 

Here's a question for ya. Which AAL did you get? I have the TSB AAL so my rear lift isn't as much as a normal AAL. The TSB AAL gives 1 1/2" rather than the 2" from a normal AAl.

Also things are going to settle. My rear is lower now than in the pic.

 

I got the Toytec AAL for the rear, a front diff drop, swaybar relocator bracket, extended brake lines(which I haven't put on yet), and the preassembled coilovers.

 

Should have asked this in the other post, do you have the TSB done?

 

No, I didn't even know about that before I bought my lift, wish I would have!

 

I don't know man. You should be sitting at the same rear lift as me, maybe lower b/c of your topper. I think you need to crank those things up to just under 2" like mine and see where you stand.

I realize you said you did it last night but do it again just in case you goofed up some how. We all do it.

 

Here's another question. Did you install your AAL the right way? One end is longer than the other and I believe the long end goes to the rear.....?

sorry to thread jack but whats the max you can crank these coilovers up to? mines at 1 3/4 inches now and im sitting about an 3/4 to an inch low in the front. i have a toytec aal in the rear. no tsb. Thanks

Would you post what response you get? I've left 2 messages and have not recieved a call back. I have the preeassemled coilovers as well. Per the instructions that come with the set, I set them as high as I could go,(I left 1" of thread at the bottom of the large adjuster nut). I only got 1"-1-1/12" of lift. I want to put an off road bumper and winch on but by then, I'll be lower than stock in the front end.

 

Bump because I finally got in touch with one of the techs from Toytec
Apparently the instructions that came with my lift are wrong, I've been adjusting it down instead of up. My instructions said to adjust the CO's no higher than 1" of thread showing below the large adjuster (which makes it sound like your highest lift would be at the point where there is 1" of thread showing....right?). From the very begining that just seemed wrong but I figured the instructions must be correct. Anyway, the tech told me that to get the most lift I should adjust the collar UP so there is about 3" of thread showing. I hope to God he's right because I'm done with it after this time. Hope this might help someone else with the same problem.
