    A few bolts are different.
load the bed to capacity, so they can feal it hit the bumpstops, and record the mileage when you leave it so they cant say "we drove it all day" when they probably just pulled around the lot, and then wrote off the idea of helping you.

Its funny, some people have a bitch of a time getting the TSB done, yet some(like me) have no issue whatsoever. I took the truck to the dealer, told them my rear end bottoms easily and told them I read of a TSB for it, they looked it up and said they'd order the parts and when was a good time to drop the truck off. That easy, no shit! doesnt make sense why some dealers would be so opposed to doing the job in this slow economy. Work is work.
that could probably work.... how much weight total?

Go buy 1000 lbs of sand then take it back afterwards, as said up there ^^^

If you can't afford that, you've got much bigger problems than the suspension on your truck.

560 should do it for sure. You can use logs, stumps, cement blocks...anything to add weight.

I agree with Relentless...it is odd that some do it without question. My dealer needed to keep the truck for an hour so they could make sure there was no damage to my components. Once everything checked out, they called Toyota and verified my approval - ordered the parts and was done the next day.

I would've fought like hell if they told me to LOAD MY TRUCK UP WITH A BUNCH OF WEIGHT TO VERIFY THAT I AM NOT LYING!

As for TSBs, I even had the creaking clutch pedal TSB done at my dealer even though my truck didnt technically fall within the affected VINs. They did check it out and found the cracked bushing though so that probably helped.

dont even do that. Just take a print out of the TSB in hand and show it to them and be like look this shows that there is a problem with my leaf pack so i want it replaced. Tell them its a harsh ride and they should replace it. The dealership i took mine to didnt drive it around or look at the bump stops or anything. i showed them the TSB and they said ok we will call you when the parts get in.

when u get the TSB done, they put them on there. it actually states in the rear susp TSB that your truck model gets them on there. i looked mine over to make sure they didnt screw me over, counted the leaf springs and whatnots.

so if/when u get this TSB done, u will have new bilstein shocks :D

After three trips to two dealers, hours of waiting, and 90 minutes on the phone with toyota's customer service people I was told that the TSB did not apply to my situation; despite the fact that it's emblazoned right on the TSB that it is to be applied when the customer complains of a harsh rear ride. I never loaded up with weight and took it to them, but to have to have to do that is ridiculous. I would think the dealers would jump at the opportunity to bill toyota for work and make a customer happy, but apparently not.

I don't carry heavy loads, but I bought the truck to tow. Now my trucks out of warranty and I'm SOL. Guess I'll just have to lift and get some deaver rear leafs!

Bilsteins are part of the TSB package if you do not already have a TRD. I think she was just saying to double check that they actually put them on after the TSB instead of leaving the stock shocks.

Edit: Damn she beat me to the punch ^^^
