u guys checked out the new tundra yet? not big on the grill but the colormatched model does look a lot better. the back end is pretty sweet looking though i think.

 

Back end looks like dodge and ford with that lip on tailgate..and they still have those small ass headlights :banghead:

 

yeah the headlights if anything look even smaller now than they were on the last model. but i do really like the tailgate. even if you thik it looks like dodge or ford, i think it looks good. i have to admit that even the american made pos's they are making these days at least look nice. still would never own one though

True that! They just need the TRD Off road package of the new tundra (so it doesnt have all the limited/platinum luxury style trim) and color match the grill and bumpers and stuff. maybe theyll have another rock warrior package with this tundra.

 

I do know that just making sure thats what you guys were talking about and i read burry does it but dont know everyone here so wasnt sure if that was his username or what

I like the Tundra as a luxury truck and road truck I guess. Just wish they'd offer a diesel though.

I think a turbo 6 for the Tundra and turbo 4 for the Tacoma as gas thrifty engines and an eight for the Tundra for towing/hauling. Toyota is way ahead of Ford/Chevy/Dodge in the diesel technology, wish they bring some of that here.

Rather they scrap the Tacoma platform and just bring the Hilux like the rest of the world has. They mimic it in almost every aspect with the tacoma - hoodscoop for one. But in the Hilux that scoop is active.

 

Hey guys. Ive got a chance to get some wheels and tires but have a suspicion that they might rub. Will a 285/65R18 rub with no lift. Ive got 265/65R17's now

 

with no lift? yeah probably alot

 

Does anyone have anything close to that so i might could try one out. I would hate to drive 2.5 hrs to meet this guy and the set wont work

 

They will rub alot..my 285s hit a little with 3"..I say buy them and put some billie 5100s up front with 1.5" aal in rear with extended 5100s...wont cost much and wont affect the ride

 

Hood scoop is gay I think, does nothing for the Tacoma. The hilux has it to provide air to the top intercooler on the Turbo 4 diesel option engine.
