Haha I can't wait until Saturday to put it on! I've been broke all this week because of it though... But I'm getting my tax return tomorrow so it's all good!

I'm only driving maybe 5 miles a day. I technically don't even need to drive it during the weekdays, I just choose to.

Definitely will! Installing it Saturday and will have pics up as soon as I'm finished!

Washed it and ordered some Forever Black.

It's now time to finally recondition those flares. :)

If forever black works good for you, please post the results. I have been using a product called trim shine. Works pretty well for a couple months. I don't really want to buy new flares or try a heat gun but really want to find a good long term solution.

    Will do.

I know what you mean. Typically I'll apply Armorall on them but it only lasts for so long, especially in the rain. I've heard a lot of good reviews about the product so I'm crossing my fingers for decent longevity. Also figured that I'll be able apply on some other areas too like the rubber around the door windows and front valance.

I would like to avoid painting the flares for obvious reasons.

I switched from Armorall to trim shine last year, same results. I have seen people on here plasti dip and paint the flares, but want to find a product I can apply. By the way, your build rocks, the looks of your truck are perfect. I will have a build page in the next couple of months, finally, my lift kit is in the garage waiting for me.

    Thanks man,

I'll be looking forward to following your build and seeing the results! You'll have a new truck when you get your lift installed.

Yeah, I thought about the Plasti-Dip route too but like paint it can chip and it would be even harder than paint to touch up.

I remember reading in the Detail forum that someone was really disappointed with the longevity of Forever Black.

I hope you have better results.

Blue is typically illegal in most states.

Might want to check the local laws where you live.

Some lift, some armor, some scratches..
up until about 3 weeks ago I was getting consistently 20 on the higway and 16 around town (averaging 17.5mpg per tank, but after I put on new tires (TW Wardens w/ kedge grip 265/75/16) it has decreased to probably 17 highway and more like 12-13 around town. Last tank I only got 225 miles out of it, compared to the 280 I was used to!! I guess its a combination of slightly larger, much heavier tires, winter gas, and really cold temps

yea I didn't think it would really help just wanted to feel like I was trying everything I could..

MAN I wish I had my old '92 corolla wagon 5 speed again.. used to get 38 MPG!!!
