I think it's race and class, cops generally think they are above everyone else. They have a huge problem in Oakland and Alameda County, OPD and ALCO Sheriffs are absolutely HATED in Oakland for good reason, profiling, officer involved shootings resulting in dead unarmed people, wholesale abridgment of civil rights, effective suspension of Habeus Corpus because everyone knows the DA will not prosecute a lot of crimes (no $), so the police throw everyone in the SuperMax prison AKA Alameda County Jail AKA Santa Rita.

Oh I have no doubt race plays its role as well. VT is like 95% white though, so class is our weapon. There are a bunch of rights people freely give up as well when confronted by an officer. It's sad when I can deny a search, and then be overridden by "probable cause".

Law enforcement authorities recently refered to Dorner as a "domsetic terrorist". Given that he is an active and imminent threat to various people and government agencies, does anyone else think that a drone strike is in the works ?

 

Scanners been quiet. No real update from the news outlets, they're doing something id call clarifying or amending. Nothing new since they called off the choppers last night.

 

Drone strikes have ALREADY been employed. They are out there right now as we speak.

Not to just jump into the conversation but.....

Yes everyone judges, profiles ect....but if you are in a profession, you put those aside to do your job. Part of being a professional.

Say we get the guy and he is 3 minutes from bleeding out. As a medic do you try to save him or let him die? You save him

Do you perform a quarter million dollar open heart surgery if he is going to get the death penetaly? Yes.

DO you give him therapy and bring him back to good health if he is going to get the needle the next day? yes

Why do you do all these things? Because its your job and being a professional means treating everyone the same.

If officers (not to point them out specifically) cant do that, they should not be on the force.

Drone STRIKES? Don't confuse that with a drone in the air doing surveillance. Are you saying they have used a drone, and in fact have FIRED missiles from one? That's what is meant when the person asked if there were going to be drone strikes.
