    In truck related news, I have made an appt. to get a remote starter installed in the truck. Leaving work at 2:30 am when the temp is in the single digits leaves little to be desired. I really have not had to scrape ice from the windshield in 12 years until this winter. The truck is garaged, and at my last job we used to park in the heated warehouse when we worked nights.

    :laugh: That is very mean of her.

    I think it will take a little practice but they seem easy enough having observed the guys set up their tents this last summer. Just unzip the black cover, grab the ladder and pull it down, the platform unfolds and the tent poles pop up, place the metal 'shishkabob skewers' in the grommets to hold up the window flaps and done. And I can keep my sleeping bag, blankets, etc in the tent so I'll have more spare room in the truck cab





    Little spoiled are we? :laugh:

    You just need to be the only girl on the crew and bat your eyelashes at one of the guys and sweet talk him into starting your truck and cleaning your windows for you ;)

    unfair, but very useful in a lot of circumstances. My sister in law once got pulled over by a state trooper for speeding. She pulled that routine, along with a few tears, and explained that she was late for a manicure. The statie actually gave her an escort to the nail place. Chivalry is not dead!

    That's a very nice mod to have in the winter for sure.
    I walk outside every morning in my PJ's and flip flops to start up my truck. Nothing like snow on your bare feet to wake you up. :D
