the Western conference has had more total pts in each year since the lockout.
in 2009/10 the flyers were 7th in the east with 88 pts, the stars were 12th in the west with 88 pts.
first overall picks in the last 20 years: east 14, west 6

 

i think the toughest changes year to year.... this year you got soft alot northwest .....

northeast went from a joke last year to 3 out of 5 teams fighting for top spot
atlantic well you do have those DB flyers, but you guys also get gimmes with the islanders
central is always up in arms
southeast is lucky they get a playoff spot lol
pacific depends on who puts down the joint first
northwest has been historical a tough division

and all that means shit, lord stanley is all that matters if it were so one sided it would be one sided on the cups given too

 

eastern teams have an easier road to the finals, shittier teams, less travel, etc.

 

and 2010 is a non sense year, the oilers had 62 points that means there are extra 12 points handed out, most of which will be to western division rivals

and BOO HOOO travel, there is one team that needs to be moved thats it, also maybe the west needs to move all the little shit towns closer together

All of the leafs cups came in the original 6. Since the NHL expanded in 67 the canucks have played in the finals, the leafs have not.
