definitely out of my price range, for now, didn't know that though.
maybe one year if i haven't spent almost $1,000 on a AR i can get one.

    buy once cry once :D

I learned the hard way. I always tried to buy cheap stuff and told myself that it would be fine. it was never fine and I either always wanted the better model or the cheaper one was just junk anyways.

Quick question, how much are you guys paying for 1,000 pieces of once fired 5.56mm brass that has had the primers removed, polished, sized, and trimmed?

i know, it's just my inner cheap screaming "it's only $35, it'll be fine".
i've used my cousins and it's ok, i don't have access to the nice optics anyway, the most expensive optic we've ever bought was a nikon monarch 3-9x40 for dads 270, $200, and we were still thinking of ways to get one cheaper.

in other news, i emailed the local dfg office asking about a equivalency test for the hunting license so i can use my AR for 'yotes when i get my BCG.

    I will say this...

When I got my gun I was looking into expensive sights and I thought to myself, man I'm never gonna be able to afford that, I don't need anything like that. Well after a year I decided otherwise. My cheap scope just wasn't what I wanted.

I was gonna get a cheap red dot, but I want my rifle to be dead nuts reliable. I want to know that no matter what its gonna work if I need it too. I don't wanna worry about it get wet/ rained on, dust blown on it, etc.

Plus why buy a $1000 rifle and put a $50 optic on it? Just not logical. I know eotechs are tried and true and won't let me down.

Your optics are the brain of your gun. Don't cheap out on the most important part of your rifle

but it will end up costing you more money in the long run bc you will not only have bought a $35 sight, you will eventually buy another sight to replace it with.
Every time I think about eating out at lunch or buying something small I stop and think "I could just save that and put it towards XXXX". before you know it you will have the funds to get what you actually want and not have to settle for something less

Get a decent set of irons and start saving ;)

IMO, wait it out, if i were to buy another lower it would be a cheap polymer lower.

Wait. The assault weapons ban isn't gonna happen.

If I wasn't stocked up on mags ID be more worried about getting some 30 rounders. Banning those has a higher chance of happening.

I don't think the NRA will let it go... And it looks like Gov Jerry brown does not want to go head up with them... But this is my observation... senator Yee got laughed at with the "bullet button" ban in how they just let it expire... I don't see how it's even remotely legitimate to make ARs to accept and to fire one round... It almost seems to much of a head ache than anything else... It seems like it would be easier to ban them then to completely reconfigure the rifle... But I pray it will not come to that
