Not kidding...that's what they're calling it. Sorry if there's already a thread on this thing.

I'm a big weather buff (geographer), and this stuff interests me. 23 million people under a blizzard warning, must be many of our TW members. They're talking about one for the record books.

    Updates? Preparations?

Best of luck to everybody there, stay safe. Hope nobody gets buried on the road.

Screw this. 8" of snow is plenty not two feet. For funnies

I'm in the 2 to 3 foot area, a little worried that my shed might crack but other than that its not a big deal. Might lose power but we have a wood stove, and made sure the snow blower was fueled up and ready to go yesterday. It started snowing here around 9 this morning and is supposed to keep going until tomorrow morning.

    No.
Light stuff here. Shoveled the deck already. We got about 3 feet here and it's drifting pretty good too. Thank God I didn't lose power...yet. Calling for zero for temps tonight.
Getting suited up now so I can get to the shed and fire up the Troybilt. Should go well.

I love snow but it sucks when the very first thing you have to do when you wake up sat. Morning is dig a path out back so my dogs can go out. My big dog loves it but the other 2 are small and the snow is over their heads.

I can't believe its still snowing, that's over 24 hours of continuous snow. I know that's normal for some parts of the country but we haven't had this much for years.

Snowing hard since yesterday wind is so hard don't really know how much snow we have. One of my decks has no snow the other over 2'. I have about a 1/4 mile of road to deal with but there is a 6' snow blower attached to the tractor I have a wood stove 4 cords of wood under the deck and a 6KW generator with 10 gallons of fuel guess I'm all set.

Ya, I'd say you were set, sit back and relax. The only thing I like about snow is getting out the Kubota 2550GST and moving snow with the bucket and blade. Don't even mind a little shoveling, good exercise if not over done.
