Same here, '07 DC w/Offroad. No vibes with the 6spd, only issue I have with it is wheel hop when the rears spin in rain/icy conditions.

I got this tsb done. They replaced the leaf springs and installed the steering wheel damper. The vibrations are still there. If you measure the vibrations according to how much rpm you need in order to feel it then they raised that number slightly. I have to give it more gas then before in order to feel it. But its still there. Unless im driving with an egg under my gas pedal. Up a steep hill or towing a boat in the summer im shur it will be shaking all the way up my spine. I think Im just goona report it to toyota canada that the problem is still there. Or try another dealership. But most importantly ill be watching www.tacomaworld.com

I should mention they first said it was normal. I returned with the TSB. They discovered left over mud from some off roading I did and immediately called and said warranty wont cover it because there's a good chance its the mud on my drive shaft doing it bla bla bla. Supposedly the dirt made my breaks squeak so they wouldn't do that TSB either. Took a bit of yelling and they realized a TRD off road 4x4 truck is meant to go on dirt. Who would have thought.

If they wont warranty your truck because of a little mud, you really need to call the 800 number. The redesigned rear drum tsb, fixed my brake noise. The parts for the vibration tsb cam in this week and im getting them put on Saturday. I have my doubts about this band aid fixing the problem, but since it doesn't cost, ill let them try.

    ... ^^^ .... Rotorpilot ... just curious ... was this Marietta Toyota on Hwy 41 ...

FWIW ... that is one Toyota dealer that I will never go back to again ... never ever ...

PS ... Now, I only go to World Toyota, Sandy Springs Toyota or Atlanta Toyota and all three of these are good in their own & different ways too ... :D

Tsb for vibration done today. Replaced springs, tranny mount and steering dampener. Not only did it not fix the vibration, it made them worse.

No, this was down in Macon, GA...
Im in school down that way so they were the closest to me at the time...
Before I went down for school I had an appointment with Marietta Toyota but now that I read your post...they will not be getting any of my business.
Im old enough to learn from others mistakes/bad experiences...
also, stay away from Cobb County Toyota. worst service ever!
    thats where Im "banned" lol

I'll probably go with Sandy Springs Toyota. Thats where I bought my '07 - they're just a little further away

Yes, C/C Toyota is worse than Marietta in my book. IIRC, C/C Toyota is the one that had all the problems with not paying off the "trade-ins" several years ago.

PS ... Lived in Marietta before Sandy Springs and I have been to most of the dealers in the Atlanta area. Bought over 20 Toyotas, over the years, in Atlanta area.

Both Atlanta Toyota & World Toyota have treated me super. Sandy Springs Toyota was owned by a friend, Buddy Jacobs, who sold it to Frank Jackson about 6 or 7 years ago. They are good too, but it always depends on who you get in service dept. too ... good luck.

PS ... Drop the "Buddy Jacobs" name (as he really built up that place) and your service should be better at Sandy Springs too ... :D

This is what makes me nervous about getting the leafs and dampener done. :(

I had it done saturday. drove away at the closing of the shop and gave it a test. after it vibrated i left a msg on the service advisors voicemail and then called the 800 number to talk to the case manager assigned to me. He will probably call me monday or i will call him. He has offered twice to buy the truck back, so thats what im going to talk to him about. Some people dont mind there 30k truck vibrating down the road, but I work to hard for my money.

Yep, I had a feeling it wasnt going to work, but i gave it a shot.

Rotorpilot .... Yes, I have a vibration at about 2,000 RPMs ... especially when accelerating up a slight incline and that vibration seems like it is directly underneath me.

Had many Toyota trucks of all kinds and never had this vibration before. With that said, this is my first 4x4 in a long time too (no vibrations on any previously owned 4x2s or 4x4s)

I am at about 7 months and 7,500 miles now on the 2012 and I will take it in to Atlanta Toyota before 12,000 for "Rear Spring TSB" & "Drive Line Vibration". Second choice will be World Toyota and 3rd and final choice will be Sandy Springs Toyota.

Danny Jaffee, assistant service manager is very good at World Toyota though. Toss up with those 2 dealers, but I bought this truck at Atlanta Toyota and will try them first.

well... wonders never cease... i did a survey that the dealership calls with, an automated one. I gave the highest rating that could be given for them, since they are always on the ball and have done everything they could to help fix my truck, even though i didnt buy it from their dealership. at the end i let them know that the tsb did work, but i appreciated the work. so... the service adviser called to tell me that there was one more tsb that could be done, IF the springs, mount and dampener did not work, which obviously they didnt. I am going in saturday to let a master tech ride along to qualify it. the TSB involves the drive shaft, which is what most of us know is the problem anyway. He said that would be the last thing they could try.

... ^^^ ... FWIW ... Two things make my vibration worse ... when it's cold (1st mile) ... and up a slight grade ... especially at about 2,000 to 2,200 RPMs.

Then you sir have not paid 30 thousand of your hard earned dollars for a truck that shakes like it has Parkinson's Disease. We have and we demand better than this. If it was YOUR money thown away you wouldn't be so cavalier and that "fuck it" attitude. So chill with the sarcasm while we share information and try to get our crap worked out.

    Agreed.

It is annoying that you pay that much and you have to deal with taking it in and getting it looked at. but My biggest thing more than the annoying vibe is what is the long term affect on the truck? I don't want 125,001 (warranty) on it and then have something shit out on me. Idk much about the actual mechanics of it but doesn't seem like it's too good for the overall life of the truck.
