It was never "not running". it's just getting ready to blow at any minute so I haven't been driving it much at all.

Nope. Standard 5100's - that's why they blew.... they were constantly topping out.

If you look back a few years in wheelers 3 leaf progressive aal thread I'm the one who pointed out they were to short for a lift & they started selling the RCD 4" lift ones. No idea what Ill do now. Engine is first after I get done modding some guns. Suspension is far off. Need shackle flip, new leaves, then some new shocks. Could be late spring or summer by then.

Looks good Dave! Nice long driveway you got there :)

I think my snow blower has the same engine. Looks identical. I hate blowing the powder snow in the wind. Snow would always be hitting me in the face.

Thanks Boyd, that one is a Yard Machine. I got it used on ebay about ten years ago and it has never let me down. Seemed like the wind was always in my face today no matter what direction I was going! Took about two hours to clear the driveway and a path to my oil fill pipe. Think I'll light a fire tonight and take it easy.

    ahh, I see

I was running standard 5100's with my AAL too, before that whole topping out/borked shocks thing. Surprised mine never exploded

Hmmm... mines a 31" Craftsman and also about the same age. Even the electronic start plug is identical.

Gotta watch that light snow getting sucked into the air intake. For some reason someone thought it was a bad idea to put an air filter on these things. Not good at all. I have had water in my oil before, but luckily no issues with the engine.

I think just about all snowblowers are made by a company called MTD. They are pretty much identical except paint and decals. They make Craftsman, Yardman, Yard Machine, Husquvarna, and a few others. We had a Craftsman at work that was identical to mine but it was green. I think I'll change the oil next chance I get, never had an issue with water, but it can't hurt.

I got Cindy that laptop at the Microsoft Store this afternoon. I had them upgrade from 4 to 8GB of RAM ($21). The touch screen is pretty cool. She really loves it.
