Its pretty normal cruising. Idling it is loader more throaty, but not bad. WOT its load and badass!

Nice!!!! There's a couple guys fabbing turbo kits for 2nd gens right now and this makes me want one really badly!!

 

No kidding the are a couple that are making twin turbo setups up front. Some of the piping in those is ridiculous! Should make for some high horse power though.

 

I wish that guy with redrum would come back, his rig was amazing

 

Yeah! Too bad building up the block to handle that is so expensive! I don't want huge numbers, I would rather a smaller turbo that can spool up faster. I like the uniqueness and the efficiency of the turbos Plus I like the idea of powerbraking it and hearing the turbo spool up

I like the TRD S/C just because of the pull all of the way from zero. And when you get on it it still lets you know it there!

 

Have you seen this thread? They have a turbo kit that is running full boost (about 6.5lbs) at 2750rpm and makes more power and torque throughout the entire powerband than both the S/C kits out there. They were going to release it as a bolt on kit, but I think the guy has been distracted building some monster hp turbo kits for some other guys. You'll see them if you skip to the end of the thread.

Yeah, I do like that the S/C's spool instantly but I am running 4.88's and I think if I had instant boost like that off the line I would be eating up tires too much. haha Or I would have to launch in 4wd. I can already almost light the rear tires up doing a powerbrake launch without boost. haha

 

Oh yay! i've been looking at that. The only problem is I can't weld that well and I don't know anyone who can.

 

Yeah, I would have to wait until they have the rest of the kit ready I think. Looks like they are mostly just selling completed headers and you build the rest yourself. haha.

And I still want a turbo too...someday..
