Well... probably no new mods for the tacoma...

    Because I bought an FJ80. 92 with 226,xxx. $1000

She runs too! Just blows oil like a fucking whale blows water but all over the ground. But hey I think I can fix that! Interior is CLEAN, has a nice head unit and an amp or some shit. Was a Texas rig I guess and the frame is clean, a little rust on the axles but mostly it's pretty much rust free. Body is okay, no rust, clear coat is peeling off roof and the rear door and the two passenger doors are from a grey truck not the grey blue stock and they're keyed different I guess. Fawk it, power everything, and the power door locks WORK. Keeping the Tacoma for now.

Even has some mean looking snow tires with decent tread.

    Here's a CL photo.

You have the 5 piece skids? Could buy them to assist with your new build...

    ...too much shit to list.
Nice Max. Looks like the perfect project for you and your preferences. The 80's are by far my favorite, even if they are fat heavy pigs.

I know it's probably a no, but did you score one with the factory e-lockers?

To what 5 skids are you referring to?

Thanks Jason, I think it'll suit me better. For a long time I had illusions of having a D4D in my Tacoma but no matter how I looked at it, this just made more sense in every way. It's going to take some work though, that's for sure.

As far as I know e-lockers were only available 93 and up in the FZJ80, so sadly no I have no e-lockers. I do have a 9.5 rear and a HP 8" front though!

Very cool. I hope you start a build thread for the 80, I would love to see the progress.

So jelly of the LC. I had an opportunity to purchase one over Christmas break but it fell through. It was a 92 also with only 150,000 miles.

When things of interest start to happen then maybe. For now it's sitting in my buddies back yard. We're waiting for a chance to use his grandpas shop to pull the engine. Then we'll see what I'm in for. If it's fixable for the cost of parts and a little machining (we'll be doing the rest of the work) I'll probably put some $$$ into it, but I don't want to put more than 500$ into the engine as I do intend to tear it out in the future so...

Ahh bud is goofy hah. I've got an IFS, Mid, and T-case skid. No fuel tank skid. As far as getting rid of those I'm definitely holding onto the IFS. The mid and t-case are relentless fab and I'd consider selling those I guess.
