Finally received my order from ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/360467154873?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

Ordered 24"x50" ... plenty for both side mirrors (no blinky-blinky signal indicators) (Offroad Taco)

I won't do a step by step write-up because its pretty much common sense and there are already plenty of vids posted on youtube for this. But all i can share or advise is, be patient and DO NOT GET FRUSTRATED if you make mistakes. Just turn on the heat gun/ hair dryer if ever you get bubbles or any unwanted lines.

After installation, you'll feel your Taco much much "lighter" :yay::bananadance:

Nice job. It's tough to run that stuff around corners. Heat gun is your friend on this stuff. Is that the 3M Di-Noc vinyl?

I can see how "carbon fiber wrap" can be a misleading title for you to think it was real.

Nothing to see here but some DB making irrelevant posts in someone's thread.

    OP - looks good.

Sometimes if you don't have anything good to say about other people's efforts or excitements, just keep your thoughts to yourself. OP tried something that he likes on his truck. It looks good for what it is.
    Just saying....

    Thank you sir.
Its not the 3m Di-Noc vinyl but this stuff was awesome and durable. You can really stretch it out with the heat gun and doesnt rip. Its also priced really good. 50% off on ebay...attached the link on the original post.

I was just curious. I use the 3M stuff at my shop. Yes, you can stretch the crap out of it and it still holds true lines through the carbon. Most of what we do is the water transfer carbon though.

Thread Revival!!! Ive done vinyl for well over a decade and stretched regular old Oracal 651 around motorcycle plastics so this new Dinoc and Scotchprint stuff is just flat out amazing with its capabilities! Great job man... you have me thinking about doing my mirror caps in white Scotchprint.....

Does anyone know if it come off without damaging or marring the mirror housing if you want to remove it down the road?

You can get vinyl off without damaging the mirror housing down the road. If you cover a crappy paint job, it might peel the paint but vinyl isn't going to hurt a black plastic or factory painted mirror cover (just don't use a scraper to remove it).

I use the same type for my car. The original front carbon fiber lip was pitting from daily driving so I bought the carbon wrap to cover it. A lot cheaper then getting a new lip or repainting it.
