ARE YOU ON FACEBOOK?

If you're worried about something "wrong" getting around, then you shouldn't be posting it in on the internet anyway..? No different than a public forum. People on forums aren't your true friends, they're just cyber friends. (with the exception of some that you may have met in person)

 

A potential employer isn't likely to know you have a Tacomaworld account, but can easily look up your Facebook.

It still stands, but I'm more likely to put a picture of me drinking or something on a forum than Facebook because its harder to find and trace.

 

I have an account, just don't get on it much any more. I started it to keep in touch with my school friends after I graduated, but few of them even bother talking to me any more. And I'm usually busy with work, for that matter. I'm here on TW way more than Facebook. Heck, TW is my Facebook.
The only reason I still have a Facebook any more is so that I can keep in touch with out-of-state relatives.

 

Yup....I'm on FB. It's not exactly exciting and it won't get you in trouble if all you do is read what the other crazy people post. But don't be surprised if exgirlfriends start stalking ya.

I guess this is true...every time someone is on the news for something the first place people check is their FB account. Damn nosy ass employers...they think they own you just because you chose to work for them. I can't stand bosses.

NO..... my wife shows me a pic every now and then of whats on her's but other than that I have never been on it.

 

i have one, i use it to keep track of my family, what they're doing. none of my friends cause drama, if they do they get deleted.

My employer asked me if i was on FB and or on My Space, and when i said no they asked why?. I told them its nobodys business what i do on my time..

I'm the president of my class so I use it to keep track of everyone, eventually I'm gonna have to get reunions together.

I am on facebook but I have a superlow profile. I have not done anything to my page and I checked all appropriate settings in which I do not get updates of others nor do others get updated with stuff I do.

In today's world where its pretty much socially acceptable by employers to see what employees are up to (life outside of work during non work hours conducted at home computers) I feel that I need to maintain some reasonable circle of privacy. A while ago I did a google search on my old email before it was hacked and maaaaan... stuff dating to 1998 just kept coming and coming. Granted I rarely posted anything that might impact me but gee wiz...

I use facebook to access manufacturer updates, club schedule... and never communicate through it nor have any sort of comment/forum feature linked to facebook account.

 

Never had a fb, but I did have a xanga and myspace. I only go on myspace to find the old pictures I had on there since I forgot my photobucket account and lost access when my old comp crashed.

i recently made an ig, I think it's better than individually sending your friends all the pictures you want to send them.

If you feel you dont need one, then no need. If you want it, make it.

 

Myspace was the shit! Don't have a facebook, never understood why everyone made the switch (guess i'm "old school"). I'd still be on Myspace if everyone still used it.
