hood lift

    hey guys.. I dont know there is a thread or mod on hood lift. instead that old fashion arm bracket that prop the hood open. God that hood darn heavy. I have seen these arm use for door closer. hyro rods. what size and where to place them
    all informations welcome...

    Just remember...

    Measure 4 times, drill once, and be sure to use a locking stop collar on the drill so you don't dent your hood when the drill grabs.

    I did okay on the Taco, but I dinged both sides of my wife's Rav4.

    You will need to purchase a rather odd-sized drill bit, and you'll need a pro-quality pop rivet tool that can handle the large rivets.

    Oh... and don't bother with the one for the tailgate.
    Everyone who has one indicates it's more trouble than it's worth.
