    LOL! Talk about literal.
Maybe a caption like "Geoff...did you forget to weld something?"

Was able to unbolt the tank and drop it at inch and slide it over about two inches, enough to get the gun in there.
It's not my prettiest work, but better than not welded.

Oh if they only knew all the shit I fixed!!!!
    Fuck Giant.

Someone mention the rear shackle pivots were off by 1" between the drive and passenger side!
Front spring hanger to shackle pivot was 56.5" on the passenger side and drivers side was 57.5"

And lets ye forget, magic number on a first gen is 52.5"

Wait! You guys can really have fun with this. Some of my "Giant" findings

    Giant Limit strap:
Yes...that's the rear brake line. No straps at all...just the brake line..and yes it was the droop limit

    IMG_0833_bd7a5d0d056d7d1b742a1f733f0c2c3e4c347041.jpg

I keep hearing a weird clunk sound at full bump, so at first I think it's just the bottom out. Then i notice the passenger shock cap is getting beat to shit. Break down the leaf pack and cycle...and here's why. Giant E-brake cable bump stop

And to add insult to injury, I have all the receipts from the previous owner, including the work done by Giant. Get this....the poor bastard that actually paid for all this work really got taken for a ride.

For those with the keen eye....look at the tax. Not only did Geoff charge the previous owner tax on labor (instead of just parts)...he charged him more than the specified tax rate. 8.75% of $9835 is $860.56, not $1134.88.

And more shady business practices...he charged the guy for black gel coat AND color matched paint on the fiberglass fenders and bedsides. There's no reason to do both, just one or the other. I will tell you for a fact, I've got enough rock rash and chips, there is absolutely no black gel coat on my glass. It's the standard white fiberglass with colormatched paint.
