    I would say maybe once a month or so. If you use it often it won't really matter if you skip a month here and there though

    No, its actually easier to engage when rolling 5mph or less, sometime you will have to turn a little to get everything to line up so it will lock

    R,D,1,2 doesn't really matter on an auto, just go slow until it locks

    You can go as fast as you want once it's engaged. Remember the truck will handle different but I've had mine well over 60mph in the sand

    You can leave it engaged as long as you want

    Not just today, but the past few days and in the next couple days:

    - Decided to keep it and not trade in towards a corolla.
    - oil change (upgraded to high mileage oil, since this is my first oil change since hitting 6 digits)
    - new battery
    - new shocks

    You can go up to 60 with the locker engaged? Doesn't Yota not recommend going over like 20?

    They just say that because the truck handles differently than it does with the open diff. Hell, I forgot that mine was turned on one day and drove it down the highway for quite a while before I figured out why it was steering funny lol. It didn't hurt anything. Driving it on the highway will eventually tear up your tires and is a little more stressful on the axle shafts but it won't break anything as soon as the truck hits the pavement.

    They don't recommend it because if you don't do the grey wire mod, you're in 4low and not going fast anyway. Do the grey wire mod and you can use the locker at whatever speed. I've used mine up to 65 in 2hi with no issues.

    Is this a common problem? I had mine crack about a year ago. Just havent taken time to fix it.
