Hello new old member here. Was on the forum years ago but stopped using that email so created new account.

I had a tree fall on me during the blizzard Friday and trucks done. Going to get another sport but done with blue and thinking white or black. I have a white secondary car and its easy to keep clean. How's Toyotas black paint hold up?

My buddy has a black 06' TRD Sport and the paints holding up really well and his is always parked outside in the elements. I have a white Sport myself but have you thought of a different color? Something more unique in the Tacoma family is what I am getting at I guess even though I still love my Super White Taco!!:D

I hate white. Had a white car years ago. Looked great clean but I think it showed dirt too easily and took longer to clean since you'd see every little thing you missed.

I like the plow setup. Hopefully you were able to keep that!

Black shows any dust or dirt that you pick up. I had a black motorcycle and when polished and clean, there is not much better but a ride down the street and a bit of dust later make it look like doggie doo.

White is right especially in the summer sun. It catches the heat a lot less.

I could not disagree more. I think white is a LOT easier to keep clean than black. My last truck was black and, when it was cleaned up, it looked great! The white one doesn't take nearly half as much work to keep it looking clean in my opinion. I don't think it shows dust nearly as bad as black.

I've had both and I'll agree the black is a pain, however my white also gets dirty very easily.. I washed it yesterday, drove 5 minutes to my house and it was dirty again

I'm not saying white is just as hard, however I still find it gets dirty easily

    Forget about dirt or cleaning.

Black will show ALL scratches and swirls.
    White will hide them.

If I were to do it again I would go with the Charcoal or the Dark Blue. Although the Red is pretty rare around here.

    Im getting there......
Were you out plowing at the time? Glad your okay regardless. I would get black because they look really clean (in terms of look) in my opinion. One of my friends in High School had a black sport and he only washed it about once a month and it looked fine to me, although I have a speedway blue which looks horrific when its dirty so maybe I am a bad judge. Another thing to look at is the new red as well, looks really good on the sport and is not that common!
