Yeah lots to think about for sure. I wouldn't mind keeping the Taco as a DD but it doesn't make the best DD in current form but I love the way it is right now and don't really want to tear it apart but on the other hand...

Yeah I've been cruising the forums pretty hard. :p Thanks though, I'm pretty excited about it all.

I'd run a p pump but really more after a VE, I'd assume it'd be cheaper too that way. I think I might try to go after a whole truck too, might be able to source odd little things that way. We'll see what turns up when I really start looking. Won't be for a while though. :(

A buddy of mine in Battle mountain recently put a 5.9 in k5 with 1 tons and 37s. He's a very good wrench and decent fab guy. He's dumped a crazy amount of money into it. He said it was fun at first, but then got to be a chore just to get it done. Its pretty cool, but he has had so many problems. Heres a pic I have on my phone. I have others somewhere, but I cant find them.

I don't doubt I'll have the same problems and it'll turn monotonous but I think the end result will be worth it!

it is a ton of work going from gas to diesel everything needs to redone. on a gas to gas swap usually easier because a lot of systems in place can be reused.

How are LC in the rocks though? I know everyone has been saying that they can stay planted, but what about in the rocks? I guess what I am getting at is would, say an older Toyota like an 85, be better, the same, or worse than an LC?

Exponentially better. Land Cruisers are heavy and large. Mini trucks are great because of their size and weight.

They're all well built and hold up well though.

So anyone interested in my 315/75/16s, to trade for 285/75/16s of an equal AT or MT? I can get tread depths later. I could trade wheels too possibly.

Got an 80 series now... I think it'll be easier to sell in the end with stock-ish fenders -- even if I leave the HC, no snorkel, 33s vs 35s, stock 3.73s

So I'd like to do all that, probably leave the bumpers though as I still want to wheel it moderately in the meanwhile.

If I can't get rid of the fenders and snorkel I'd still like to go to 33s and stock gears I think.

    So yeah... anyone interested?

They'd pretty much have to go with the fenders or vice versa. Fronts I think I could get away with but the rears definitely have to swap out whole bed side. :| IMMA tard. And I could sell the HC to match.

    So far away. Gah.

And the rears are physically glued to the bed sides because dumb. They're not as clean as they look in pictures....

I could pull the flares and run stock flares up front but I'd pretty much need to have someone swap me bedsides with color matched flares.

The gears get tricky too, really needs to be a swap or send me stock gears first. Also looking for low(er) mileage gears, not sure what you've got. Anyway... all hinged on getting back to 33s.
