Spec D headlights (garbage, Do not buy) replaced bulb with H7 80W Osram Off Road bulb so I could actually see. The lights they send do not put off any light at all and it's impossible to see anything at night... TOYO Open County AT III's (smooth ride, not loud) with Matte Black 17-In. TRD PRO Wheels Plasti dipped emblems and Bull Bar (Lasted about 2 years, need to spray them again)
cool thanks! think I'll start with the mini's just for the fact of not cutting into my casings... if ya find a better price, let me know... I'm gonna wait a week or so before I order

I used a duplicolor spray thats meant to go over chrome. Its clear and just smokes the chrome kinda.

His truck is a 98. Housings are different. Just google 01-04 Tacoma headlights. eBay has some decent looking ones. Just make sure you seal them up really well.

I went with halo multi color back lit projectors from hidcountry. Their projectors do not require cutting the headlight assembly or anything of that sort all you have to do i remove the front clear lense and install, comes with all the required components to run it. It also has leds to back light the head light assembly pretty neat. They also have a lot others you should check em out. Ill post pics of my later

Have you had any issues with this kit? Are the projectors held tight or do they shake/vibrate?

The passenger side shakes a little going over washboard roads. That's my fault though. I accidentally scraped the centering washer down the threads on the projector when I was putting it on. It messed up the threads towards the end just enough that I couldn't get it as tight as it should be. It's hardly noticeable now though.

I think it was $250 in the group buy. That's with the shipping to me which I think was $25. Oh and the bulbs are upgraded too. I think the regular kit with morimoto bulbs is under 200 during the group buys.

anyone remember what housings they bought to do the 01-04 headlight retrofit? i have heard that some aftermarket ones, that have a grey backing instead of a silver one, use different glue and you cant heat them up and take them apart. just curious as to what ones al the 01-04 guys used or if they used their stockers.
