Um, is your name Chris??!! Jk

Hey paul, just looked further into it. You might be better off with the non expos. As Jen points out, these are stiff springs and the advertised 3" are measured with a 400lb load (IIRC). Its hard to say with your bumper, cap, and rack, but I dont think you have 400lbs currently.

Once I have my gear, I will be at that mark easy.
130lbs in water, 100lb cap, 150lbs in tools, 100lbs extra fuel, skids?(weight) roof racks(weight). etc... I'm already there. Plus we load with stuff in the bed, food and more.

I would have to disagree with Jen on this one :anonymous: She is doing fast pace off road driving in the dessert with jumping. When I first got mine I as in the same boat sort of. My 5100s were maxed out and I though that the ride was a bit too stiff. Although it was not as stiff as my TSB springs with an AAL. Then I installed the Icons in the rear with that have a longer travel and they are GREAT!!!. They ride awesome, don't sag, and they flex REALLY well. The cost for shipping is a but high...but if you know someone that can recieve a delivery by freight, you could save almost 1/2 of that shipping cost.

This is probably the spring he DOES want...I challenge anyone to take a ride in my truck and tell me what you think. It rides like butter on and off road. And I like to have the rear a little stiff to compensate for the lack of a sway bar....

Go for it....this is RIGHT up your ally...

Honestly I think with all the weight I might be close to 400lb. If not i don't mind the higher stance in the back, just as long as it's not to crazy. Anything beats the set up I have now. That 3 inch block with a 3 inch aal rides shitty. I'm going to order some all pro expo's the end of the month. Linwood, why did you change out your rear 5100? I have those rear shocks. I'm trying to plan so if I need different ones I better plan now and buy it all at once.

You will have to change your 5100's too. If you want to stick with Bistein, you will need some custom length (5125). IIRC, stock 1st gen 5100's are good for 2" but dont flex too well (and forget about 3-4"). This is one of the reasons Im putting off new leafs.

I wouldnt know, just reading the small pring :notsure:. Ill take your word for it. Paul still needs to take his swaybar off :smack:

I was thinking I need to replace my rear shocks but the way the rear sits now its 3"-4". 3inch block, 3inch aal. All that weight made it settle to about four.

The leafs weigh 60# and they ship UPS Ground.
If you look at some of the mods I am planning to do and have done.

    15Gal of water = ~125# + misc 5 lbs of water related gear/.
    15Gal of Fuel = ~100# - (3 jerry cans 20L each ~5.5gal each)
High lift jack, shovel, axe, hatchet, Recovery gear(block, rope, snatch straps, shackles, tree protector, extention), Socket set, Rechargeable tools, etc.
the tools alone are easily (listed above) are easily in the 150# range.

Thats not including the 6 people including myself. ~500# there.

Clothes 20#, cooler 25#, freediving gear and gun w/ weight belt 50#,

I could go on with other things.

But to answer the question on where? EVERYWHERE> I'm always ready. Anywhere I can camp on the beach, go fishing, whatever. I like to show up, and not have to find the local shops to buy supplys. I made connections locally and all over the states. So I shop where I get my best deals and bring all my own supplys. Stopping while on the road at places that charge $2.50 for a 12oz can of coke isn't my style.

I'm really not trying to justify this purchase. I'd love to buy someones USED Expo pack to be honest.

I was thinking that I would buy these for 429 and they would be at my door in a few days. I really didn't expect to be paying that much in shipping. Or that they would be out of stock of something like this.

Well its a land Cruiser with a diesel so I've got that going for me.
Order those springs pone! Stick em on in my driveway. Try the shocks you have on and if they don't work buy a spacer for the shock stud until you figure out which way to go. They are like 30 bucks and will keep you running till you sort out some 5150s or the like.

They are getting ordered. When I talked to the rep at all pro he wanted me to call back with the part number on my 5100. I didn't bring my truck to work. I guess some 5100 on the first generations work. I'll call tomorrow. Phil, you and I will have some work to do on the driveway. Payment in beer and smokes!

Where are these guys located? I could probably drive there and back for cheaper than the cost of shipping.

Done deal I love beer and cigarettes. ;-)

If you are worried about the shock being short get the extensions for the stem of your 5100s and see if you need them. Might be 30 well spent dollars if you find you are a bit too short in that department...

Don't ask them how much to ship sliders or a bumper....more than the sliders to ship almost...
