Wondering if you can replace a regular wiper switch with Intermittent, is the harware in the switch or motor. Plugs should be the same I would think. Any advice.

Take a look at post #859 on this thread for part number and details on how to do it.

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/technical-chat/4838-cheap-free-mods-43.html

The intermittent switch (part #8465204141) referenced in the thread works perfectly on my 2013 Tacoma. I bought it from 1stToyotaParts (now called Titus Will Toyota) for $122, including the $11 for shipping to my west coast address.

The wiring harnesses that connect to the switch need to be released using a narrow blade screwdriver or something else that is small enough to push onto the white tab. The harness does not just pull out.

The steering column cover eventually comes off as described, but it's tight quarters for someone with big hands.

The installation was 15 minutes start to finish.

Its easy as ***** top of the home page tap the ( mods and tutorials ) icon and there should be a thread or two for this swap. If u can change a fuse you can install a intermtent wiper stalk youll be glad u did. Although buying new is likely best, you can do what i did and go to your local salvage yard i paid 45$$ out the door with a if it dont work get your $$ back garuanty . You may have to call around as the tacoma is very popular at the junk yards. Good luck.
