Keep it under 2k if possible. I noticed if I keep it under 2.5 I get 16-17 mpg. That's not factoring in my slightly taller tire or now winter gas.

But your tires are bigger and way heavier. So I would say that's where your mpg loss is. Also aerodynamics are not on your side. Consequences of having a badass truck.

It's a pretty good venue. Most shows used to take place at the New Daisy but its old and too small for a big production band. I went to Minglewood earlier this year and saw Deftones and they fuckin slaughtered that place!! It's still not big enough for a band like them but it holds 1500-1600 people, somethin like that. As far as location, its in Mid-town which isn't the safest place but I don't personally know anyone who's had their car broke into there and I've seen 10+ shows there and never had a problem. They have a pretty good sound setup there that will def make ur ears bleed and bass that will make ur heart skip beats. You'll like it

Also, I did not factor the whole speedo calibration crap...

Riddle me this though... So if my speedo is saying 65, and then I pull up a GPS app which says about 72, does that mean that the miles on my odometer are off?

Does it make sense what I'm trying to say?

Miles on your odo are definitely off, and to your benefit. If you have stock gears, stock tire was 30.47" in diameter. If you went to true 35's, you should multiply whatever mileage you got by 1.148-ish. If you have like 34.5's, 1.132-ish.

So something like 13.5 or 13.7 mpg is what you really got, not 12.

    Well that makes me happy!

Thanks for the explanation... I definitely need to get that recalibrated though.

    And yes, they're true 35's...

I don't think there is an actually recalibrator to just reprogram it. They do have some units that plug into your wires behind the dash and are mounted permanently there. Well, you can always take it out, so it isn't permanent. I looked at them a while back, but can't remember the brand that had them.

just get an ultra gauge. take the 10 mins it takes to calibrate it and then use that for your speedo and to just spit out what your mpg is. let something else that doesnt cost much do the work/math for you. that is what i did. plus if you ever need other info it can give you plenty.

My Speedo on the ultra gauge is right but the gallons remaining is always off. Every time I fill up, its 1-2 gallons more then what the ultra gauge says I need.

Agreed, this is exactly what I did. I bought it on a group buy. Actually mine is only 1 mph off, since the regear. When I get 35s, I will have to recalibrate.

hum... That sucks. Mine is right on, but I calibrated the distance first. Then did the gas over the course of 4 or 5 tanks, but it seems to be right on.

You have to calibrate distance and mpg both. You're probably getting worse mileage than the ultragauge says too.
