I, for one, dont feel "sorry" for him. I am just being observant on how the police will respond to a threat towards them vs a threat towards the public.

We have killers, rapists and murders every day that go around killing innocent people. Gang members that habitually terrorize neighborhoods, and the police have taken their time due to their resources spread thin. However, one guy threatens to kill cops and every single agency scrambles to neutralize him. If we, as civilians, can get even remotely close to the protection and service that was shown in the last week, maybe Los Angeles might be even safer.
